I’m Sarah Klapp and I create handmade pottery and art pieces for the home.
My life and work are inspired by the natural landscapes of Santa Barbara, California, where I grew up and still live today. Working with clay is a personal practice for me, and a way to inspire others to deepen their connection to, and reverence for, the Earth.
My pieces often reflect this by combining raw, organic textures with modern design and aesthetics. Everything I create is handmade, ranging from more functional items like mugs and tumblers, to fine art pieces meant for display, like vases and sculptures.
I have a degree in Ceramic Art from Azusa Pacific University, and my work has been featured in British Vogue, Santa Barbara Magazine, and Voyage LA, and in various local markets and shops in Santa Barbara. At my studio-workspace in Carpinteria, I offer open studio shopping, private ceramics lessons, and “clay dates.”
Please, poke around my site and see what I’m all about. You can always reach out with questions, projects, and whatever else. Thank you for being here.
